School Leadership Development Programme

The Rockhampton Grammar School, in collaboration with the esteemed Centre for Creative Leadership, is excited to deliver a groundbreaking Leadership Development Programme, accessible to staff from schools throughout Australia and beyond. Global leadership experts will journey from the USA to lead the three-day programme, fusing pioneering research with interactive training, tailored coaching, enlightening assessments, and continuous guidance, ensuring an impactful and enduring transformative journey.

Developed and delivered by US-based global leadership experts, the Centre for Creative Leadership, the innovative new School Leadership Development Programme will provide participants with the opportunity to gain:

  • Understanding about themselves and their context
  • Confidence to further develop in their role
  • Skills to lead effectively
  • Focus to immerse themselves in important challenges
  • Tools that will have immediate and practical application
  • Mindset to make a difference personally, professionally and organisationally.

Where: The Rockhampton Grammar School - Rockhampton, Queensland.

Who: This programme is open to staff (teaching and non-teaching) from schools throughout Australia and beyond. Whether you are a Principal/Headmaster looking to upskill or a staff member seeking to develop their leadership capacity, this programme will benefit you. 

Programme Overview

CCL’s varied education leadership development programmes focus on developing the capacity of both operational and school-based leaders to be more effective and intentional in their leadership by helping each participant develop a clear vision of their leadership strengths and developmental needs, and then moving to leverage these strengths and address needs.

CCL’s offerings are interactive, combining content with experiential learning and research-based support not typically available to school staff, providing a space for participants to learn directly from each other.

This programme is designed to:

  1. Provide participants with knowledge, guided practice, and skill development around developing their own leadership capacity as well as expanding the capacity of the school, departments, and teams
  2. Help participants explore individual strengths and developmental needs using assessments that lead to greater self and other awareness
  3. Engage participants in experiential activities that allow them to practice new behaviors with a focus on communication and continuous improvement,
  4. Challenge participants to identify a Key leadership Commitment to help focus their individual development with an emphasis on effective planning, alignment, communication, and promoting student achievement and wellbeing
  5. Help participants increase their understanding of their own Change Style
  6. Help participants explore neuroscience as it relates to change and leadership
  7. Help participants explore a variety of Influence Styles and have the opportunity to practice various influence tactics, and
  8. Connect and network with a variety of school based employees from across Australia and beyond

    Programme Investment
    Programme cost per participant: $5,000 AUD (incl. GST)

    Included in the programme cost:

    • Delivery of a world-class three-day school leadership programme facilitated in person by global leadership experts from the United States.
    • Morning Tea & Lunch throughout the programme
    • Transport to and from the programme venue

    Schools/participants are required to organise their own travel to and from Rockhampton, as well as accommodation (if applicable), and meals outside the programme.

    Schools will receive a 10% discount for groups of four or more staff members.
