Agriculture

The Rockhampton Grammar School is proud to be a leading provider of Agricultural Education in Queensland. With our own demonstration farm and access to a commercial cattle herd at Belmont Station, we deliver a Certificate III in Agriculture as part of a larger paddock-to-plate food education programme.

RGS students work with professionals and experienced teachers who prepare them for many facets of this challenging and rewarding industry and related fields of study. Delivering curriculum that is designed for the needs of our community, our goal is to ensure that students who are seeking a career in agriculture have the foundation skills and knowledge to contribute to the long term success of this important industry in our region.

The Right Brand for Agriculture Education

Through strategic industry partnerships, RGS ensures that our students have access to the latest technology, contribute to research and forge valuable connections.

Learning for Life

Agriculture is embedded across the curriculum, from Primary all the way through Secondary School. But it is not just about what happens in the classroom. RGS's unique industry partnerships and facilities enable students to become fully immersed in their learning.

Whether it be by cultivating the Kitchen Gardens on campus to support our Paddock to Plate programme, or undertaking cutting edge Agricultural research at Belmont Station - the opportunities are endless.

Opening Doors

The Rockhampton Grammar School is proud to partner with CQUniversity to provide students with a seamless pathway from the Certificate III in Agriculture to CQU's Bachelor of Agriculture. Eligible students will be allowed to apply directly to CQU upon completion of the Certificate III in Agriculture.
