Completing an Application for Admission

You can submit an enrolment application in a number of ways. You can complete the online application form, download a PDF application, or request a paper copy in the mail. 

Please note that the online enrolments portal will be unavailable from Friday 20 December 2019 - Monday 6 January 2020. During this time, if you wish to submit an application for admission, please download and complete the PDF application form and email it to registrar@rgs.qld.edu.au, along with all supporting documentation. The Registrar will process the application when the Enrolments office reopens in early January. 

RGS is now proud to offer online enrolments. The online application allows families to enrol their child(ren) online and pay the application fee via credit card. 

If you have any difficulties completing the online application form, please contact the School Registrar, Mrs Marissa Holloway, on 1300 GRAMMAR or registrar@rgs.qld.edu.au. Alternatively, you can download a PDF version of the form which you can complete on your device. Simply save a copy and email it (with supporting documentation) to the Registrar. Or you may print it and return by hard-copy (mail) to the School.

The Enrolment Process


   Submit an application for admission with the School, including all supporting documentation. You can submit an application in a number of ways. You can complete the online application form, download a PDF application, or request a paper copy in the mail. A $60 non-refundable application fee will be due at this time. We highly recommend Applications are submitted at least two years prior to year of commencement. 


   Vacancies permitting, the family and prospective student will be invited to an enrolment interview in the year prior to expected enrolment. At this interview, the family will meet with the relevant Head of Year (Years 7 - 12 entry) or the Head of Primary (Prep - Year 6 entry) who will oversee the student’s academic progress and pastoral care, in their first year. Families will be taken on a full school tour at this time. Boarding families will also meet with relevant Boarding staff.


   Following the interview, the Registrar will offer the prospective student a place, or inform the family that a place is not available. Offers are made at the discretion of the Headmaster.


   To accept the offer of a place at the School, parents must sign an enrolment agreement and complete other relevant documentation, including census data and medical information. A $400 non-refundable processing fee will also need to be paid at this time. The enrolment will not be confirmed until the enrolment processing fee is paid and all forms are returned.


   During Term 4 of the year prior to commencement at RGS, families will be sent an Orientation Pack and incoming Year 7s will be invited to an Orientation Session. Incoming Year 7 and 8 Boarding students will be invited to attend an Orientation weekend at the School in late November/early December. All new students, from Prep – Year 12, attend an Orientation Day the day prior to school commencing for the new year.
