As per the Queensland Premier's announcement on 9 January 2022, there will be a delay to the start of the school year for all schools. As always, the School will continue to communicate with our families when there are changes that affect the School and our students. Please ensure parents and carers are reading the Back to School Updates that are being emailed to families each week.

As a Statutory Body of the Queensland Government, The Rockhampton Grammar School will continue to follow Queensland Health instructions and advice in response to COVID-19.
Students of all ages can attend school in Queensland, regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status. Parents and carers are not required to show evidence of vaccination to attend or visit the School. We ask that parents and carers use the QLD App to “Check In” when visiting.
Further information regarding vaccination in Queensland can be read in full here.
Face mask requirements apply to all students 12 years and older, and all high school students irrespective of their age. Masks are strongly encouraged for students in Years 3 to 6.
All high school students, including those who are under 12 years of age, must wear a mask unless they are seated or are able to maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others.
All school staff and childcare workers are required to wear masks while standing or moving about indoors, but may remove their mask when seated or if able to maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others while teaching or interacting with students or when outdoors
Students will not be required to wear face masks while they are in the School’s boarding accommodation.
The public health directive regarding the wearing of face masks, including exemption information, can be read here.
As per the Queensland Government's "Back to School" plan for Queensland schools, the School is limiting visitors on campus from 7 February - 4 March, with exceptions for parents and carers of students experiencing vulnerability, and all students attending Early Childhood Development Programs, Kindergarten, Prep or Year 1.
