We are really lucky to have some fantastic places to dive just off our coastline around the Keppel Islands. The local dive sites have a large variety of aquatic life and some beautiful corals.
We have access to a variety of vessels to take our divers to the dive sites where our staff guide the students on every dive.
Our teaching staff has three PADI dive masters and one PADI instructor so our students can complete their Open Water Diver certification and go on to higher courses here at School if they wish, or they can continue to enjoy diving with qualified dive guides.
At this stage completion of the PADI Open Water course earns our students one Queensland Certificate of Education credit for those students that complete the course in year 10, 11 or 12.
Our scuba club dives the local waters on a regular basis but also travels further afield to Cairns and Vanuatu. Other suitable locations are always being sought by our staff.
This is a great outdoor activity in which our students meet new people, develop new skills and get to experience the unique underwater world off our coast.
