2017 Season Registration Form

Introduction

Students at The Rockhampton Grammar School can represent The School in football in inter-school competitions and / or in the Football Rockhampton club competition.

Inter-School Competitions

Primary students can play football for The School during second and third terms for Friday afternoon sport, which is administered by the Primary School. Students will be asked late in first term to register their interest in Friday afternoon football. More information is available from the Head of Primary.

There are a few competitions available for Secondary students. Secondary girls can play in the local inter-school competition which runs in Term 3 each year. There are separate competitions for Under 15 and open aged girls. In Term 2, there is an inter-school competition for boys in three sections: Year 7 and Year 8; Year 9 and Year 10; and Open. Secondary students should register their interest in these competitions early in the year either with the Football Captains or TIC. Information about these competitions will be distributed, as it becomes available, to those people who express interest.

Football Central Queensland Competition

Students of The School can compete in the Football Central Queensland competition as members of the RGS Football Club. In 2016, the competition will run from early April until early-mid September. The Club will field teams in the Under 6 to Under 14 competitions.

The Club does not field teams in the local senior competition. However, if a student is interested in playing senior football, further information is available from the TIC.

RGS Football Club Committee

The RGS Football Club is administered by a committee made up of:

President:
Caroline Wright
Secretary:
Kerryn Maitland
Treasurer:
Stuart Elkins
Registrar
Ken Weier

Committee meetings generally are held at 5:30pm on the last Wednesday of each month, in the Long Room. All meeting dates and times are shown on the school calendar. All interested people are invited to attend committee meetings. T

The Club appreciates all offers of assistance. Anyone interested in helping is invited to attend a committee meeting or contact the MIC.

Communication

Important information will be communicated to players and their families in a number of ways. Most information will be relayed through team managers, so it is important that managers have up-to-date contact details. Also, information will be passed on formally via notice boards, newsletters, assembly announcements and daily notices. Players and their families are encouraged to look out for football notices.

If you have any queries, please contact the TIC.
