Instrumental and Vocal Tuition - 2008

Instrument Loan Agreement Form

Enrolment Form

Information Booklet

MusicIndividual instrumental and vocal tuition is available through the school. Tuition consists of one forty minute lesson per week, usually during class time. Students in Years 8 -10 are withdrawn from class on a rotating basis to avoid missing the same class each week.

Music teachers endeavour to provide a total of 32 lessons over the period of the year. Because of the varying term lengths, the lessons will not necessarily be given at a rate of 8 per term, despite the fact that music fees will be charged on the basis of an eight lesson term. A credit will be made on school accounts at the end of term four in the event that students do not receive the full 32 lessons. Students undertaking instrumental or vocal tuition may elect to do external examinations.

Lessons are available on the following instruments:

  • Piano/Keyboard
  • Flute
  • Cello
  • Baritone Saxophone
  • Trombone
  • Percussion
  • Guitar
  • Alto Saxophone
  • Trumpet
  • Euphonium
  • Violin
  • Voice
  • Clarinet
  • Tenor Saxophone
  • French Horn
  • Tuba
  • Viola

No previous music experience is necessary to undertake instrumental tuition. Tuition fees for secondary students are $1048 per annum for 32 forty minute lessons ($262.00 per term). Students in the Primary School are charged $800 per annum for 32 thirty minute lessons ($200 per term). Fees for Terms 1 and 2 are included in the Term 2 account, whilst Terms 3 and 4 are included on the respective accounts for each term.
