During terms one and two the local community clubs plan competitions. They will advise us of dates, venues and competitions when they have finalised same.
Currently, Lions Voice of Youth Competition is in progress. Our speakers, Elmee Huda and Rachel Doak, faced initial interviews on February 23rd at the Plaza Motel in Rockhampton. Their next involvement takes place on Wednesday 27th. The National Final will be held in Darwin.
Other competitions include the Legacy Junior Public Speaking, Plain Speaking, entries for which are usually called during March.
Rostrum will call for competitors after Easter.
Our greatest venture as a school is the participation in The Rockhampton Grammar School Oratory Competition, which takes place during third term.
Intermediate Competition, October 21st.
Junior Competition, October 22nd.
Senior Competition, October 23rd.
All competitions are advertised as soon as we are advised. All particulars are placed on the notice board in Humanities Block.
