Riders who are interested in representing the RGS Equestrian Club can do so via two avenues -
1. Riders interested in Sporting/Gymkhanas may participate in the Annual Horseland Interschool Teams Challenge which is hosted by Alton Downs Pony Club at the Alton Downs Pony Grounds. This is usually run in the latter stages of the year.
2. Riders can participate in the Regional QISEA qualifying events and in turn qualify for the QISEA State Events.
If students are interested in either of these opportunities they should contact the MIC.
Uniform
Note - The Club has just purchased RGS Saddle cloths which can be purchased for $50. These saddle cloths are not compulsory except for riders who represent the School at State or National Levels.
Fees
There are no fees payable to the School to join the Equestrian Club. Due to the nature of the sport, riders participate in events under the guidance of their parents and all nominations, fees tec are to be arranged by the individual riders.
Other Opportunities
EQUI SKILLS - The National EFA, has introduced an Introductory Horse Management Program. Cost of this program is $50 and if students wish to participate they should contact the MIC.
