Management

The Rockhampton Grammar School is one of only eight Grammar Schools in Queensland constituted under the Queensland Grammar Schools Act. The Act stipulates that Grammar Schools be managed by a Board of Trustees who hold office for four year terms. The Board consists of seven members: four are appointed by the Minister of Education and the remaining three elected by school subscribers or donors.

The overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the School, staffing, supervision of its academic programme and student discipline is vested in the Headmaster. He in turn relies on the three Heads of School (Primary, Middle and Senior) for success in this role. The Deputy Headmaster acts in the Headmaster's absence. They are supported by the Board Secretary who is responsible for the administration of the School's business.

Current details for the Board Secretary, Headmaster and Senior Staff are available on the School's Contact List.
