The ongoing professional development of its staff forms a critical element in the delivery of effective education and pastoral care at The Rockhampton Grammar School. Within its active professional learning culture, an extensive annual programme - delivered by highly qualified educational consultants and researchers - informs all aspects of the School.
The Dimensions of Learning model places strong emphasis on the infusion of higher order thinking skills into all curriculum areas. All teaching staff members are trained in this model and work collaboratively to plan, implement and assess the effectiveness of learning design and pastoral care initiatives.
In addition to whole school professional learning opportunities, all curriculum areas and year levels engage in subject specific staff professional development. These opportunities further foster a culture of continuously raising standards for the well-being of students and teachers at The Rockhampton Grammar School.
